Warm Vanilla Pear Cocktail
A freshly mulled blend of:
4 cups of fresh pear juice
1/4 c of maple syrup
1/4 c of apple cider vinegar
1/2 c of water
1 teaspoon of lime juice
Bring to a boil with:
1/2 a vanilla bean
2 sprigs of rosemary
2 cinnamon sticks (or 1/2 tablespoon of cinnamon)
a dash of sea salt
Recommendation: bundle these ingredients into a coffee filter, tied at the top so that it makes a sachet of the spices so that it's easier to separate them from the liquid when you're ready to pour.
Let the ingredients cool together for 30+ minutes, before adding the whiskey. In a shaker, I added 1 liquid egg white into the spiked mulled spices, giving the cocktail a smooth, rich taste and feel. So, it's basically a protein packed, antioxidant rich blend that boosts immunity and aids digestion .. guilt free yet festive Saturdays have never been more delicious!
